Making things interesting in New York and beyond

WNYC election campaign

While on staff at Modop, I was lucky enough to work with WNYC as creative director on the account for several years. In 2016, I directed the "Let's make it interesting" brand awareness campaign and station tagline. During the throes of the presidential election, the OOH campaign reminded New Yorkers that WNYC was a source of sanity.

WQXR classical music campaign

New York Public Radio's classical music station sent us a creative brief with the objective of showing New Yorkers that "classical music elevates everything." We couldn't have said it better ourselves. So, we took that simple, elegant line and used it as the visual hook and main messaging in the campaign. I shot the photos and then worked with a retoucher to create the illusion that the subjects were elevated in everyday life. The campaign included subway cards, wildpostings, and a billboard over the West Side Highway.

WNYC SmartBinge campaign

To promote its massive archive of award-winning podcasts, WNYC launched the SmartBinge campaign, encouraging fans to listen to hours and hours of WNYC programming in the same way viewers binge-watch their favorite TV shows. I was thrilled to collaborate with comedian Eugene Mirman on a series of absurd videos accompanying the launch. I also creative directed and wrote an accompanying Facebook campaign. The campaign beat traffic goals by nearly 150% and drove almost 250k sessions in 30 days.
